Heart to Heart

When Sonia and I awoke this morning, there was a definite chill in the air, one that kept us longing for our warm beds. So while Sonia put on the teakettle, I turned on the furnace. Then we both jumped back in bed and snuggled together while I read Carolyn Roehme’s Fall Notebook. At some point during our reveling through the book, we heard the teakettle beckoning us, so we paused to sip some tea while we ate our pumpkin bread. After this delightful repast, we finished the book, stretched, and sighed. We agreed that it was the perfect way to begin our day.
