Window treatments need not be store bought, expensive, or laborious.

To create this pretty window treatment, I loosely wound white tulle around my drapery rod, knotting it on both ends.

To this tulle, I added a short piece of pink tulle by knotting it on to the existing piece, allowing it to fan out on either side of the longest point.

To that middle point, I suspended a rose bud ball by knotting the tulle around the ribbon attached to the ball.

Then I draped my elegant rose garland over the tulle, positioning several of the swags stiff tendrils behind the rod, to secure it in place.

Next, I gently draped a bead swag amongst the rose garland.

Below the window treatment, I suspended a spring wreath.

To complete the look, I positioned a basket of flowers on the windowsill. Sonia and I created this floral display by inserting floral picks into Styrofoam, which we placed in the clay pots we had painted with cream-colored paint. On top of the Styrofoam we added Spanish moss. Then we placed the pots in a cream colored metal basket.

Although simply created, this window treatment is quite lovely.
