Heart to Heart

Sadly, we often take life’s greatest pleasures for granted and subsequently neglect to thank God for all the magnificent blessings He bestows upon us every day. Therefore, God often commands us to arouse our spiritual senses from their preoccupied stupors and engage our memories with, “See …, Observe …, Hear …, Fix in your hearts and minds …, Remember …, Rejoice …, Celebrate …” —waking up to the light of each day full of hope and promises, the warmth of your husband’s strong body, the pitter patter of little feet padding across your own floors, the delightful sounds of giggles and laughter, our ability to take care of our families’ needs, the wonderful odors of delicious foods, each miracle child gathered together under our own roof in a safe and loving environment, each beautiful face, each unique personality, each incredible mind capable of unlimited possibilities, endless imaginations, boundless energies, hearts overflowing with love, the honorable responsibility of molding each character for God’s Throne Room, the opportunity to love our precious gifts, nurturing our little lambs for the Great Shepherd, holding them close to our hearts, learning together, laughing together, playing together, working together as a family, eyes to see with, ears to hear with, lips to smile with, mouths to speak truth and encouragement with, hands to caress and hold with, arms to hug with, bodies to rock with, feet to walk with, time to be with our family.

May we always remember to consider it all joy—a privilege to be with our family each day and enjoy each glorious moment, gratefully acknowledging God’s magnificent goodness. Each day, let’s “count our blessings, name them one by one, count our blessings and see what God has done.” Y
